  • Hi everyone. I just wanted to post quickly and let everyone know that I am so glad we have an awesome God who is present everywhere we are. Tonight in church we had just a good, old-fashioned prayer meeting. It was fantastic. We sang, we prayed for certain things, Pastor Chris read from Psalms, we sang some more, prayed some more, read more Scripture...you get the point. It was much needed and I really feel renewed and refreshed.

And I also had a great afternoon shopping with Mallory. And we found her the cutest dress for homecoming at KSU and it looks great on her. We laughed and just really had a good time. I love it when she's home from college. But I am also glad she loves school and has some great friends up there that she enjoys hanging out with.

Anyway, tomorrow is the beginning of yet another week. I hope everyone has a great one.

  • So, it's been forever since I've posted anything, mainly because not much goes on in my life that is worth writing about. But I just got home from a great movie and wanted to share it with everyone. Go see "Facing the Giants"! It was very good. A great Christian movie that was really heartwarming and CLEAN! It was just a very good movie and I recommend it to everyone.

I can't begin to tell you how much God is doing in my life right now. I am facilitating a Beth Moore study on Daniel right now on Wednesday nights at church. It is very good. Right now the study is about living a life of integrity and then the last 6 weeks will be on prophecy. I have really learned a lot in this study so far and can't wait to get into the rest of it.

My Bible Fellowship class on Sunday mornings is fantastic. I teach the 9th-12th grade girls and I have to say I enjoy it so much. I love my girls and Vicki, my team teacher. We really work well together and I value her friendship so much more than I can even tell her. The girls are always asking questions, etc, that show their growth in the Lord and I love that! I just thank God so much for the opportunity to teach them and work with them.

Well time to go to bed. That's all I have right now. Leave me lovin'.

Well, it's almost the close of yet another day at work. Today wasn't too bad; just busy enough. Got caught up on a lot of things which is always a good thing.

It's been a great summer so far, having Mallory home; at least for the most part. She is going back and forth to Kennesaw for an evening summer course, but for the most part, she's home.

She had quite an honor today. She was among a select group of students invited to meet the new Chancellor of the University System of Georgia at Kennesaw today. I was so proud. She said she also met the new President of the University, so that is a good thing.

Anyway, time to go home. Leave me some messages!!

  • Well it's Saturday and I am so glad. Had a long week that culminated in a great LINK banquet at KSU with Mallory and her LINKER buddies. Great fun. Her friends and the administration, etc. are fabulous! I am so glad she is at that university.

So, on Wednesday, went to eye doctor for a recheck on my eyes...thought I had possibly damaged my retina when I stupidly hit my head HARD on the corner of a cabinet. Upon examination which required my eyes being dilated every 10 minutes and countless tests, he said I had numerous tears in my retina in my right eye. Sent me to a vitreo-retinal specialist on Thursday. He lasered my retinal tears as if to "weld" them back to the vitreous gel. I hope that works. He is seeing me at a different office location in 2 weeks because he has a different laser machine in case I need it again.

Found out this week that some friends have things going on in their lives that need prayers. So if you have a minute remember Lisa L. and Lucretia.

Oh, well that's all for now. Mal has one last final today and then her sophomore year in college is over! Very proud of her. She is making fantastic grades and is such a young woman now. Doesn't really need her momma anymore, but "pretends" she does to make me feel better. I love that about her.

    Bye for now
